Maybe I am just plain stupid, but if Ryan Air or Easyjet thought there was a good business opportunity in flying to Burgas, wouldn't they have already done it?
Or maybe it is just my inherent aversion to Facebook
Ryan Air/ Easy jet would make loads of money out of it but it's a closed shop monopoly at the moment. Also the airport need serious up grading and expanding to accommodate extra airlines.
If and when they allow them to fly to Burgas the economy will take off ( excuse the pun)
Hi, my understanding is that the low cost airlines will only fly to destinations where there is a quick turn around time for the aircraft. So they fly in, and quickly fly out again. I don't believe this is the case for Bourgas because it is a very small airport. I think there would be more chance of them flying to Varna.
Over the last few months I have sent several emails to EasyJet relating to opening a UK to Bourgas route. The first suggested the opening of a route and my reasons for it. Part of the reply I received was : "I was happy to hear that you have a route suggestion for us. We are constantly looking for routes that would be in demand all year round and we appreciate your e-mail. easyJet will take into consideration flying to Bourgas from the UK, if such a demand occurs." My last email pointed out that there were nearly 1700 entries on Facebook and surely this would indicate there was a demand. Part of the reply I received was:"Unfortunately, we do not plan to launch London - Bourgas route yet." Looks like we are stuck with what we have at present.
